The application must be marked with a request for tuition waiver. 247 - If the above timelines are met and the educational assistance application is approved, Human Resource Development will forward a list of employees eligible for tuition waiver to the Fees and Scholarship office and to the Union. 248 - Employees will be responsible for all charges in excess of the matriculation fee and in excess of fourteen (14) credit hours over the academic year. Human Resource Development will supply the Fees and Scholarships office with the total credits available for tuition waiver for each eligible employee. In the event the approved course(s) is/are unavailable paid at the time of registration. The College reserves the right to require the payment of any outstanding fees before approving tuition waivers. In addition the spouse, other appropriate course(s) may civil union partner, and dependent children as defined by College policy, of a part-time faculty member are eligible for pro-rated tuition waivers based on the credits accrued by the part-time faculty member. In cases where tuition waivers are withdrawn (e.g. terminated employee, non- approved course, unsuccessful completion)For each such student enrolled in credit courses, the University maximum tuition waiver per semester will attempt to payroll deduct the waiver tuitionbe 16 credits. If the University is unable to make collection through payroll deductionFor non-credit courses, the Union agrees tuition waiver will be calculated as follows: for each 16 hours of non-credit instruction, a reduction to the course cost will be responsible applied equivalent to the cost of 1 credit hour of tuition, with a maximum per student tuition waiver of 16 credits per course. Enrollment in non-credit courses will be on a space available basis. An employee’s children, stepchildren, adopted and ▇▇▇▇▇▇ children, may enroll in summer camps at a 25% reduction for the outstanding debt(spart-time employees. Tuition Waiver. 245 - -287 Except as specifically provided below all general provisions of educational assistance apply.
a. Local 1585 Bargaining unit Unit members who are eligible for educational assistance shall be eligible for a tuition waiver program. This tuition waiver program will be applicable only to those MSU courses enrolled in through the University's ’s standard registration procedure. As a condition of tuition waiver, an employee must sign an agreement authorizing payroll deduction for the amount of tuition waiver waived to be used in the event shehe/he she does not successfully complete the course(s). 246 - course(s).
b. Employees interested in utilizing the tuition waiver wavier program must submit their educational assistance application complete with departmental approval to the Human Resource Development Resources Office thirty (30) days prior to the semester billing date set by the Fees and Scholarship student accounts-fees/sponsored aid/fellowships office. The application must be marked with a request for tuition waiver. 247 - waiver.
c. If the above timelines time lines are met and the educational assistance application is approved, the Human Resource Development Resources Office will forward a list of employees eligible for tuition waiver to the Fees and Scholarship office Student Accounts-Fees/Sponsored Aid/Fellowships Office and to the Union. 248 - Employees Local 1585.
d. The Student Accounts-Fees/Sponsored Aid/Fellowships Office billing will be responsible for all charges in excess of the matriculation fee and in excess of fourteen (14) credit hours over the academic yearreflect tuition waiver. Human Resource Development Resources will supply the Fees and Scholarships office Student Accounts-Fees/Sponsored Aid/Fellowships Office with the total credits available for tuition waiver for each eligible employee. Employees will be responsible for all charges in excess of the amounts detailed above, matriculation and registration fees; and in excess of fourteen (14) total credit hours per academic year.
