Transformers. In general they must be in good preservation condition, without oxidations or corrosions in the oil drum and tank, deformations in cooling blades. • It will be checked that during its normal operation there is no abnormal vibrations or noises, excess temperatures, relevant leaks of coolant and oil level under the minimum at 20ºC, or very higher. • If the transformer has wheels, it will be checked that they are blocked in order to avoid its movement. The anchor must be fixed to the support or rail by threaded or welded parts, or wheels must be turned. • Preservation status of main and secondary insulators, without having cracks, breakages or excess dirt. The correct fixation to the flap will be checked. • The plate will be properly fixed to the transformer drum and, if possible, visible from the cell outside since all its technical data must be readable. • The external insulation of power cables, control and signalization must not show aging, relevant tears, damages or provoke mechanic strains in insulators and other elements. • Oil analysis will be carried out by authorized laboratories and its cleaning and replacement will be performed as necessary.
