Common use of TRAINING INCENTIVE Clause in Contracts

TRAINING INCENTIVE. As an incentive for employees to improve their proficiency on the 12 job, or upgrade and enhance their skills and therefore, their employment opportunities with 13 the District, a $125.00 stipend will be offered for personnel who have earned twenty four 14 (24) hours over a two (2) year period through participation in a job related community 15 college course, Staff Development course or Adult and Community Education course. The 16 course must be taken on the employee’s personal (non-work) time. Three stipends per 18 completion of each 24 hours of training and submission of the “SPALC, Confidential, and 19 Supervisory/Technical Training Incentive Application”. Interested employees are required 20 to seek verification of eligibility for training incentives by submitting an application to the 21 Principal or Director indicating the course requested and justification of relevance to the 22 employee’s position prior to enrolling in the course. Applications will be available at each 23 work site and through the Curriculum and Staff Development Department. Employees are 24 not eligible to receive the Trade Certification Supplement and the Training Incentive for 25 the same activity. 27 10.04 – NON-STANDARD RATE OF PAY 28
