Trainee. a. An “Internal” TRAINEE shall be an employee who holds a regular position with Hennepin County. An “Internal” TRAINEE will maintain all seniority, benefit levels and the right to return to a position in their pay class subject to the seniority rights and layoff provisions. “Internal” TRAINEEs will be paid at the entry level TRAINEE salary of the class for which they are training, or at their existing salary, whichever is greater.
