Top Up for Compassionate Care Leave. NB Power will offer top up to the benefits provided through Employment Insurance (EI), to employees required to care for a family member who is gravely ill with a significant risk of death. Currently the EI Compassionate Care Leave is for a maximum of six (6) weeks. It is recognized that this arrangement is in addition to other terms and conditions for Short Term Sick Leave and Other Leaves within the Collective Agreement.
Top Up for Compassionate Care Leave. Employees may take a compassionate care leave in accordance with the Employment Standards Act. NB Power will offer top up in accordance with Appendix B for a maximum of ten (10) weeks or more as per the Corporate Policy to the benefits provided through Employment Insurance (EI), to employees required to care for a family member who is gravely ill with a significant risk of death. It is recognized that this arrangement is in addition to other terms and conditions for Short Term Sick Leave and Other Leaves within the Collective Agreement.
