Common use of TIME AND EXTENSION FOR DELAY Clause in Contracts

TIME AND EXTENSION FOR DELAY. The time allowed for execution of the works as specified in the Schedule - 'F' or the extended time, in accordance with these conditions shall be of the essence of the Contract. The execution of the work shall commence within 15 days after the date on which the Engineer-in- charge issues written orders to commence the work or from the date of handing over the site whichever is earlier. If the Contractor commits default in commencing the execution of the work as aforesaid, Corporation shall without prejudice to any other right or remedy be at liberty to forfeit the Xxxxxxx Money/Security Deposit absolutely.

If the Contractor commits default defaults in commencing the execution of the work as aforesaid, Corporation aforesaid Company shall without prejudice to any other right or remedy be at liberty to forfeit the Xxxxxxx Money/Security Deposit xxxxxxx money absolutely.
