TERMS OF CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT AND FAIR DISMISSAL OF TEACHER. 1. A “teacher” shall include teacher, principals, superintendent, and other certified employees. All contracts of employment of teachers shall be deemed to continue for the next succeeding school year unless written notice of intention to terminate the contract be served by the board on any teacher on or before the 3rd (third) Friday of May or the teacher shall give written notice to the board on or before the 14th day following the third Friday of May that the teacher does not desire continuation of contract. The terms of the contract may be changed at any time by mutual consent of the teacher and the board of education. All contracts shall be binding on both the teacher and the board until the teacher has been legally discharged or released by the board from his/her contract.
