Common use of Temporary Pay Increases Clause in Contracts

Temporary Pay Increases. If a unit member is assigned to perform the duties of a position in a higher pay classification than the classification currently held by the unit member for at least ten (10) consecutive work days, the unit member shall request a meeting with Human Resources and the immediate supervisor to discuss compensation for the ongoing temporary assignment. After the initial ten (10) consecutive work days and the meeting, the unit member’s employment contract shall be amended and unit members shall receive a temporary pay increase in the form of a monthly stipend. Temporary pay increases shall not be provided retroactively. Temporary assignments shall not be the basis for Section 5.2 review and additional compensation.
