Common use of Technology Backbone Clause in Contracts

Technology Backbone. Architect shall be responsible for the coordination of the design and the layout of the technology backbone system with the District’s Information Technology Department and/or the District’s technology consultant, and lay out any included technology backbone system. The coordination effort shall include location and routing of raceways, conduits and outlets and the required spaces to accommodate electrical, data and communication wiring. Architect and consultant(s) shall prepare and be responsible for documents prepared by the Architect based on the information provided by the District’s technology consultant as appropriate to the level of design completion.

Architect shall be responsible for the coordination of the design and the layout of the technology backbone system (including information tech systems, classroom technology, audio/visual technology, and infrastructure for these technologies; low voltage services, including physical security, access control, blue phones, and CCTV; and AV design and security) with the District’s Information Technology Department and/or the District’s technology consultant, and lay out any included technology backbone system. The coordination effort shall include location and routing of raceways, conduits and outlets and the required spaces to accommodate electrical, data and communication wiring. Architect and consultant(s) shall prepare and be responsible for documents prepared by the Architect based on the information provided by the District’s technology consultant as appropriate to the level of design completion.
