Technical Notes. 1. Should long-term production planning indicate a need to shift a target nominal, for instance, to optimize reserves or borate lot shipment changes, the supplier may propose a change in the specification limits for *. The supplier must then propose a target nominal value for the oxide(s), and any proposed change must meet the boundary limits beyond which no product is acceptable. The change must also meet the limit on allowed variation. Those limits are: Boundary Limit Maximum Range -------------- ------------- * * * The upper specification for the oxide shall be set as the new target nominal plus * of the maximum range. The lower specification limit shall be set as the target nominal minus * of the maximum range. If the proposed specification results in a violation of the boundary limit listed above, the Batch & Melting XXX Laboratory in Granville, Ohio, must be informed immediately.
