Teaching Programs. 1. The preparation of teacher programs shall be the responsibility of the Department Chairperson in consultation with the faculty member and subject to the limits established by the seniority provisions of this Agreement. Afaculty member shall be notified of her program at least thirty (30) days before the end of the preceding semester by being presented a written and dated copy of said program. Changes in a faculty member’s program may be made if emergencies arise, and such changes shall also be in writing and dated and signed by the Department Chairperson. In making the necessary changes due to emergencies, the Department Chairperson shall make every effort to consult with the affected member in the interest of arriving at the best solution for all concerned.

Teaching Programs. (1) The Vice President of Academic Affairs will establish a master schedule of sections, courses, and hours for the College after meaningful discussion among Department Chairs and Program Coordinators and appropriate Deans. Faculty, subject to the limits established by the seniority provisions and course selection procedures of this Agreement, shall select classes from the Master Schedule and shall forward those selections to the appropriate Xxxx, Department Chair and/or Program Coordinator. If any changes are necessary after the course selection has been made, the appropriate Deans shall consult with the Executive Council to determine if a department reselection of courses is necessary based on contract language in the interest of arriving at the best solution for all concerned. The Xxxx, upon approval of the Vice President of Academic Affairs, and after consultation with instructors in the area involved, shall assign adjunct faculty to a course or courses when a Discipline or Program Coordinator does not recommend adjunct faculty for courses.
Teaching Programs. Tucson Surgery Center participates in programs for training of health care personnel. Some services may be provided to the patient by persons in training under the supervision and instruction of doctors or Tucson Surgery Center employees. These persons may also observe care given to the patient by doctors and Tucson Surgery Center employees. Photos or video tapes may be made of surgical procedures.

Scheduling of individual course assignments shall be determined by the Xxxx in consultation with the faculty member subject to the limits established by the provisions of this Agreement. A faculty member shall be assigned no more than three (3) preparations per semester as part of his/her regular program unless necessary to establish a full teaching load. A faculty member shall be notified of his/her tentative program at least thirty (30) days before the end of the preceding semester. Changes in a faculty member’s program may be made if emergencies arise or to meet student interests and needs. Such changes shall also be in writing and dated and signed by the Xxxx or Executive Vice President of Educational Affairs/Chief Learning Officer. In making the necessary changes due to these circumstances, the Xxxx or Executive Vice President shall make every effort to consult with the affected member in the interest of arriving at the best solution for all concerned.

  • Teaching Loads The range of teaching loads, number of preparations and number of pupil contacts required should provide for effective instruction and meaningful teacher-student interaction. DPS and the Association agree to work together to seek increased state funding to decrease class size. The principal shall report to the CSC, after the roster verification process, the number of students in each class and this will be published in the CSC minutes on the school’s website. For the purposes of this section, a “class” shall be defined as any general education, including electives and model one classes. Upon request, after the roster verification process, the District shall provide the Association with the student information management system data regarding class enrollment.

  • Training Programs All employees shall successfully complete all necessary training prior to being assigned work (e.g., all employees will complete health and safety training prior to being assigned to task). Nothing in this Article or provision shall constitute a waiver of either party’s bargaining obligations or defenses. The Employer still has an obligation to notify and bargain changes in terms and conditions of employment with the exclusive representative.

  • Teaching Load Full teaching assignments shall normally include 12 course credit hours of scheduled teaching per academic quarter. A reassignment of duty, for the equivalent of 3 or 4 credit course, shall be provided during one term of the first academic year to all newly hired tenure track faculty to further their teaching, scholarship and service and to encourage faculty retention. Wherever possible the University will endeavor to arrange teaching schedules that avoid excessive numbers of preparations and recognize evening and/or off-campus assignments. Class sizes will be established and monitored by the appropriate academic xxxx in consultation with division chairs and affected faculty each term. The following equivalencies will be used in determining teaching assignments:

  • Develop programs 1) The Employer will develop and implement health promotion and health education programs, subject to the availability of resources. Each Appointing Authority will develop a health promotion and health education program consistent with the Minnesota Management & Budget policy. Upon request of any exclusive representative in an agency, the Appointing Authority shall jointly meet and confer with the exclusive representative(s) and may include other interested exclusive representatives. Agenda items shall include but are not limited to smoking cessation, weight loss, stress management, health education/self-care, and education on related benefits provided through the health plan administrators serving state employees.

  • Educational Programs 412. Subject to the approval of the appointing officer, Personal Property Auditors and other represented employees shall be on paid status when attending educational programs required to maintain a job-related state license.

  • New Programs All tax deferred retirement plans and designated Xxxx (after tax) program providers must complete appropriate hold harmless and indemnity agreements as determined by the Park Hill School District Business Office

  • TEACHING HOURS AND TEACHING LOAD A. As professionals, teachers are expected to devote to their assignments the time necessary to meet their responsibilities, but they shall not be required to “clock in or clock out” by hours and minutes. Teachers shall indicate their presence for duty by placing their signature and time in the proper column of the faculty “sign-in” roster.

  • TEACHING FACILITIES 4.1 The Board agrees to maintain health and safety conditions at each school site in compliance with applicable statutes and/or regulations. Teachers shall not be required to work under unsafe conditions as determined by proper regulatory authority.

  • Training Program It is agreed that there shall be an Apprenticeship Training Program, the provisions of which are set forth in Exhibit "C", which is attached hereto and forms part of this Agreement.
