Common use of TAPING METHOD Clause in Contracts

TAPING METHOD. Layers of insulating tape shall be applied to the length of the splice in opposite directions to a thickness of 1½ times the thickness of the cable insulation. The insulating tape shall be of the self-bonding type. Layers of jacket tape shall be applied over the insulation tape to a thickness of 1½ times the thickness of the cable jacket. The jacket tape shall be of the water-resisting type.
