Switching Shifts. 30.1 If an employee wishes to switch a shift with a co-worker in the same classification, the employees involved must notify the Company in writing, on a form to be supplied, a minimum of forty-eight (48) hours prior to the shift, ex- cept in cases of emergency. 30.2 Both employees must sign the form setting out when this will occur. Approval of such requests will not be un- reasonably denied. The Company will post notice of the approval in the department and online as soon as practical. Once the shift switch is approved, it will not be cancelled without good and sufficient reason. 30.3 Copies of switches that exceed thirty (30) calendar days will be provided to the Union Chairperson when re- quested.
