The Switchboard clause establishes a central point of contact or coordination for communications and information exchange between parties involved in an agreement. Switchboard. 13.02 Senior employees shall have the preference for promotion to preferred or higher paid jobs, provided they meet the qualifications of the postion, when promotions are made or vacancies occur. If qualifications are relatively equal, seniority shall be the governing factor. 13.03 Employees whose positions are abolished, or who are displaced, shall be entitled to exercise their seniority rights within their respective classification displacing junior employees, provided they have the qualifications to perform the work. (a) For the purpose of making known to the employees the various vacancies which occur in the various classifications, a special bulletin board will be maintained by the Company’s Human Resources Department. (b) Notwithstanding 13.04a) above, where a full-time position becomes vacant within a classification having a complement of part-time employees, such full- time position shall be offered to the existing part-time employees within the classification, in order of seniority. Any resultant vacancy shall then be posted in accordance with article 13.04 (a). 13.05 Any employee declining a promotion or failing to qualify for a higher position, shall retain his seniority rights in the position held previously. 13.06 Seniority rights shall become effective after completing a probationary period of ninety calendar (90) days. Upon completing their respective probationary period, seniority shall apply from the last date of hire. (a) In the case of lay-off probationary employees shall be the first to be laid off. Thereafter, part-time employees shall be laid off next. Full-time employees shall be laid off after all previously mentioned categories of employees are laid off in the reverse order of seniority. Before any new employees are hired, laid off employees shall be recalled to work by registered mail in the reverse order to which they were laid off. The Company agrees to make every reasonable effort to provide notice of lay-off as far in advance as possible, but not less than forty-eight (48) hours in advance or award pay in lieu thereof. (b) Employees shall only be permitted to perform work which would otherwise be performed by employees of another classification when all employees in that classification are working the maximum hours available in their classification by seniority. Switchboard. As defined by the National Fire Protection Association -70 2020 National Electric Code, a large single panel, frame, or assembly of panels on which are mounted on the face, back, or both, switches, overcurrent and other protective devices, buses, and usually instruments. These assemblies are generally accessible from the rear as well as from the front and are not intended to be installed in cabinets.

Switchboard. This is deemed a secondary service, whereby you only receive incoming calls to your pre-existing primary engin number via your Switchboard number. The Switchboard number acts in a call forwarding manner. Therefore, outgoing calls from the Switchboard number are not possible. Switchboard numbers can only be allocated within engin’s ‘Point of Presence’ areas - Brisbane, Gold Coast, Central Coast, Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne, Geelong, Adelaide and Penrith.
Switchboard. The switchboard shall be of the single busbar, floor mounted metal clad/enclosed, air tight, air insulated type with horizontal withdrawable SF6 or vacuum breakers or contactors as appropriate and operated by solenoid or motor charged spring means. The switchboard as a whole shall comply with IEC 60298 and shall be capable of sustaining without damage, the electrical and mechanical stresses produced by the maximum prospective fault conditions. The rated insulation level of the switchgear shall be 75 kV peak to earth and between phases and 85 kV peak across the isolating distance as defined in IEC 60694.

Switchboard. This is deemed a secondary service, where you receive incoming calls to your existing primary SIP Connect number via your Switchboard number. The Switchboard number acts in a call forwarding manner. Therefore outgoing calls from the Switchboard number are not possible. Switchboard numbers can only be allocated within SIP Connects Points of Presence. IMPORTANT:- The service does not support calls to emergency services or Voicemail and other features.

The Contractor will ensure that incoming calls are dealt with promptly, accurately and politely. Incoming calls will be routed to the appropriate member of staff or department. All incoming calls to the switchboard shall be answered in person within thirty seconds. Contractors staff are required to answer basic general enquiries The Contractor's Switchboard and Helpdesk staff will liaise effectively to ensure that customer records are maintained accurately. Voice Announcement System [Not currently required ] The Contractor may use the voice announcement system on occasions such as for Incident Control and Remembrance Day purposes, as requested by the Customer. The Contractor shall ensure that Contractor staff using the voice announcement system are trained in its use and in the making of announcements. Reception staff may be required to call and book taxis for visitors or staff only.
Switchboard bussing and devices shall be rated for the minimum available fault current as indicated on the construction documents.
