Surface rental. Contractor is released, from payment to Staatsolie or any Government Authority of any surface rentals or charges referenced in Article 63 of the Mining Decree.
Surface rental. Contractor shall, on a Calendar Year basis, pay to the Government annual surface rental for areas within the Contract Area. The first payment of surface rental shall be due and payable on 1 January 2005. The payment for each subsequent Calendar Year will be made within 30 days after the commencement of that Calendar Year. Annual surface rental will be payable in Dollars, at the following rates:
1. For Exploration Area during Stage 1 of the Exploration Period $10 per square kilometre of unrelinquished Exploration Area.
2. For Exploration Area during Stage 2 and 3 of the Exploration Period $20 per square kilometre of unrelinquished Exploration Area.
3. For Exploration Area during any additional extension of Exploration Period $40 per square kilometre of unrelinquished Exploration Area.
4. For a Production Area $500 per square kilometre of unrelinquished Production Area.
Surface rental. ▇▇▇▇ The CONCESSIONAIRE shall pay to the GOVERNMENT, during each calendar year, a surface rental equal to a lump sum of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars (US$200,000.00) for the first two (2) years and Three Hundred Thousand Dollars (US$300,000.00) thereafter for all land included in the Concession Area.
