The Summer Workweek clause defines a modified work schedule that applies during the summer months, typically reducing the number of hours or days employees are required to work each week. Summer Workweek. During summer, non-student contact periods, the District may adopt a 10-hour, 4-day workweek for any of its employees. Employees on such a 4/10 schedule shall be allowed overtime for work in excess of 40 hours per week. The District will consider individual employee requests to remain on a 5-day, 8-hour schedule if a 4/10 schedule is implemented. The final decision on such requests will remain with the District.
Summer Workweek. For eleven weeks during the summer, the normal workweek will consist of five consecutive days. On four days of the workweek, the employee shall work eight hours. On the fifth day, the employee shall work the first four hours of the employee's normal shift. The police department shall not participate in the 4-1/2 day schedule in the summer and shall maintain a 40¬ hour workweek throughout the entire calendar year.
Summer Workweek. 11 All employees, including, but not limited to twelve (12) month employees, may 12 work a four (4) day, ten (10) hour schedule during the summer with the approval of 13 their department/school supervisor. Summer Workweek. 14.2.1 At the discretion of the Superintendent of Highways, a four-day summer workweek schedule may be implemented for efficient conduct of department business. The commencement and termination dates of such workweek shall be as determined by the Superintendent of Highways.
14.2.2 The summer workweek schedule shall be Monday through Thursday, ten hours per day (6:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M. or 6:30 A.M. - 5:00 P.M., whichever schedule is selected by the Superintendent of Highways.)
14.2.3 Time off will be calculated in hours instead of days (i.e., one day time off equals ten hours instead of eight hours).
