Common use of Summer Workweek Clause in Contracts

Summer Workweek. For eleven weeks during the summer, the normal workweek will consist of five consecutive days. On four days of the workweek, the employee shall work eight hours. On the fifth day, the employee shall work the first four hours of the employee's normal shift. The police department shall not participate in the 4-1/2 day schedule in the summer and shall maintain a 40¬ hour workweek throughout the entire calendar year.
