Common use of Substitute Plans Clause in Contracts

Substitute Plans. It is an Employee’s professional responsibility to provide high quality substitute plans. In the case when a substitute teacher cannot be obtained and all other reasonable alternatives have been exhausted, an Employee may be requested to substitute for an absent Employee. Employees who serve as substitutes shall be paid a stipend of fifty dollars ($50) for each class period of substitute teaching. In the event an Employee substitutes during the Employee’s preparation period, the Employee will not be evaluated on performance during the day of the substitution or the next instructional day.
