Common use of Substitute Faculty Member Clause in Contracts

Substitute Faculty Member. A Substitute Faculty Member shall be appointed to replace a Regular, Probationary or Non-Regular Faculty Member who is absent due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances as described in Articles 21.01, 21.02, 21.03 and Article 21.04. • The appointment shall be on an hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly basis. • Compensation shall be based on an hourly substitute rate pursuant to Article 15. • A substitute appointment shall be made according to University policy.
