Subsistence rates Sample Clauses
The 'Subsistence rates' clause defines the daily allowances provided to individuals, such as employees or contractors, to cover basic living expenses like meals, lodging, and incidental costs while they are traveling or working away from their usual location. Typically, this clause specifies the maximum amount that can be claimed per day, outlines eligible expenses, and may set different rates depending on the location or duration of travel. Its core practical function is to standardize and control reimbursement for necessary living costs, ensuring fairness and budget predictability for both the payer and the recipient.
