Strike. Concerted action in failing to report for duty, the willful absence from one's position, the stoppage of work, slow-down, or abstinence in whole or in part from the full, faithful and proper performance of the duties of employment for the purposes of inducing, influencing or coercing a change in the conditions or compensation or the rights, privileges or obligations of employment.

Strike. Includes a cessation of work, or refusal to work or continue to work by Nurses in combination or in concert or in accordance with a common understanding, for the purpose of compelling their Employer to agree to terms or conditions of employment or to aid other Employees in compelling their Employer to agree to terms or conditions of employment.
Strike. The concerted failure to report for duty, the concerted absence of employees from their positions, the concerted stoppage of work, the concerted submission of resignations, the concerted abstinence in whole or in part by any group of employees from the full and faithful performance of the duties of employment with a public employer, for the purpose of inducing, influencing, condoning or coercing a change in the terms and conditions of employment or the rights, privileges, or obligations of public employment or participating in a deliberate and concerted course of conduct which adversely affects the services of the public employer and the concerted failure to report for work after the expiration of a collective bargaining agreement.
Strike. The Association will not promote, sponsor, or engage in any strike or any slowdown, interruption of work or operation, concentrated stoppage of work, absence from work upon any pretext or excuse such as illness, which is not founded in fact, against the Department, or any other intentional interruption of the operations of the Department, regardless of the reason or reasons for so doing. It is also understood that the Association and the Department will adhere to the provisions of N.R.S. 288.240, 288.250, 288.260, and 288.270.
Strike. The Association shall not declare or authorize a strike, work stoppage, or similar industrial action by its members while this Agreement is in force, provided there is no lockout or similar industrial action by the University.
Strike. The PBA hereby agrees, on behalf of its members and all employees in the unit it is certified to represent, that they will not strike, as defined by the Public Employees Relations Act, and agrees not to participate in a strike against the Board by instigating or supporting a strike, nor shall the bargaining unit member participate in a work stoppage, slow-down, sick out, or job action in furtherance, of any of the above-prohibited activities. The parties agree that any bargaining unit member who participates in or promotes any of the aforesaid activities may be discharged or otherwise disciplined by the Board.

Strike. In case of a teacher’s strike, all administrators will work on a per diem basis for each day worked beyond their regular contract.
Strike. During the term of this Agreement, the Association’s membership will not participate in any strike against the City under any circumstances. For the purpose of this Agreement, “strike” is defined as any concerted stoppage of work, slow down, speed up, sit-down, absence from work upon any pretense that is not found in fact, or any interference which affects the normal operation of the police department.
Strike. The Union and the Bargaining Unit members recognize that a strike, as defined in Section 4117.01 of the Ohio Revised Code, is illegal for dispatchers and they pledge not to engage in any strike against the City of Alliance as defined in the previous sections, including but not limited to slowdowns, job actions, and sympathy strikes or other concerted interferences with, or withholding of, services mandatory or discretionary job assignments, and further agree to cross any picket line established by any other union representing the employees of the City of Alliance in order to perform their duties as dispatchers. Nothing in this section shall be construed to preclude the City from seeking to enjoin any such strike in accordance with the provisions of Section 4117.15, Revised Code, or any disciplinary action which may be taken against striking employees pursuant to Section 4117.04 and Section 4117.15 (C), Revised Code. Moreover, the obligations, rights and provisions of this Article shall be completely independent of and shall not affect or be affected by any other provisions of this Agreement, including any grievance and arbitration provisions, nor shall the grievance and arbitration provisions act to preclude the City from exercising any statutory right to enjoin the strike or to discipline strikers.
