Strategic Objectives. 1. Strengthen cooperation among countries in the region in order to solve priority problems in identified sectors through the optimal use, updating, modernization and transfer of nuclear technology. 2. Meet in a timely manner the priority needs of the region in general, and of Member States in particular, through a dynamic and effective mechanism that facilitates the optimal and safe use of available nuclear science and technology capacities and resources. 3. To achieve and maintain an adequate nuclear science and technology level to address the problems and the unmet needs of the region.
