Common use of Statutory Holiday Entitlement Clause in Contracts

Statutory Holiday Entitlement. (a) All employees qualifying under the Employment Standards Act of Ontario will receive eight (8) hours pay for each statutory holiday unless otherwise herein provided for. (b) The employee has no entitlement if he fails, without reasonable cause, to work all of his last regularly scheduled day of work before the holiday or all of his regularly scheduled day of work after the holiday, unless the employee is absent with Company permission.
