Common use of State Tax Exemption Clause in Contracts

State Tax Exemption. The State is exempt from payment of Wisconsin sales or use tax on all purchases. The Contractor shall be responsible for paying all applicable taxes. In the event taxes are due and tax-exempt status is not provided by the Purchasing Entity upon request within a reasonable time, the Purchasing Entity shall pay all applicable local sales or use taxes, duties and other imposts, if any, due on account of purchases hereunder. The Purchasing Entity shall provide the tax-exempt status to the Contractor.
