Common use of Starting Work Clause in Contracts

Starting Work. An employee who starts work and is prevented from completing his normal work day, shall receive a minimum of four (4) hours’ pay at his prevailing regular hourly rate except when the work is suspended because of inclement weather or other reasons completely beyond the control of the Contractor, in which case the minimum shall be two (2) hours’ pay. The employee shall also receive his full accommodation allowance if and when applicable.
