Standby Procedures. 1. The Generation Division Manager may schedule, on a voluntary basis, qualified IBEW personnel for standby duty. The Utility shall determine the qualifications and the scheduling shall be established by mutual agreement. 2. During off duty hours, the IBEW Standby Duty Supervisor will take emergency calls and initiate the necessary action required to correct the complaint. The duties shall include, but not be limited to responding in person to the complaint, writing switching orders, dispatching trouble crews on switching, and calling employees or crews as required to correct the problem. 3. The IBEW Standby Duty Supervisor will not be required to serve in the capacity of a Field ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ during the time period the person is charged with the responsibility of Duty Supervisor. The Standby Duty Supervisor will not be required to perform manual electrical/mechanical work except to make emergency repairs involving hazard to life and property. Where the complexity of the problem demands a Generation Superintendent, the Generation Superintendent will assume the IBEW Duty Supervisor’s duties and may require that the IBEW Duty Supervisor assist the working crew in either the capacity of ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or Journeyman as the situation dictates.
