Standard to be Applied. The Board of Education will not discipline or discharge any non-probationary employee without just cause and will use a progressive discipline procedure. Any grievance protesting the reasonableness of the disciplinary action may be presented at Step II of the grievance procedure. This, however, will not prevent the Board from taking immediate action for unusual or severe circumstances. Decisions by the State of Illinois to revoke an employee’s required school bus driver’s permit will not be subject to the grievance procedure.
