Common use of STAND DOWNS Clause in Contracts

STAND DOWNS. The Employer has the right to stand down an employee without pay for any day or part of a day for which the employee cannot perform their normal duties or otherwise be usefully employed due to any cause for which the employer cannot reasonably be held responsible. The right to stand down an employee is subject to the employer ensuring that all options for useful work have been explored before the stand down is implemented.
