STAND DOWN. 6.3.1 The employer may deduct payment for any day that the employee cannot be usefully employed because of any strike or through any unavoidable stoppage of work for which the employer cannot reasonably be held responsible. 6.3.2 If the employee requests, the employer may allow the employee to take annual leave rather than standing down the employee. Stand down will not affect continuity of service for the purposes of calculating any leave entitlements or service increments.
