Split Shift Differential - Compensation. All Unit members who are required to work a broken shift shall be paid for actual hours worked, plus an extra hour per day as compensation for the broken shift. For this purpose, a "broken shift" is defined as a schedule providing one break of one hour or more or two or more breaks during a normal working day, exclusive of the lunch break.
