Specially Funded Programs. Notwithstanding the other requirements of this Article, classified positions may be eliminated as a result of the expiration of a specially funded program. The employee or employees to be laid off shall be given written notice on or before April 30. If the termination date of any specially funded program is other than June 30, such notice shall be given not less than sixty (60) calendar days prior to the effective date of the layoff.
