Common use of Special Shift Differential Clause in Contracts

Special Shift Differential. Personnel employed on a shift in which the hours are other than the regular day shift defined in Article 18 shall be paid a shift differential of thirty-five cents ($.35) per hour for all hours worked outside the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Provided, however, that if the majority of the hours of such special shift occur after 4:00 p.m., then the thirty-five cents ($.35) per hour shift differential shall be paid for the entire shift.

Special Shift Differential. Personnel employed on An employee who is regularly scheduled to work evenings or weekends will receive a shift in which the hours are other than the regular day shift defined in Article 18 shall be paid a special shift differential of thirtyone dollar and twenty-five cents ($.351.25) per hour for all hours each hour or major portion (thirty (30) minutes or more) thereof worked outside the hours of 7:30 between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Provided, however, that if the majority of the hours of such special shift occur after 4:00 p.m., then the thirty-five cents and for each hour or major portion ($.35thirty (30) per hour minutes or more) thereof worked on Saturday and Sunday. This differential shall not be combined with regular shift differential shall be paid for the entire shiftpursuant to Section 1 of this Article.
