Common use of Special Assignment Positions Clause in Contracts

Special Assignment Positions. Special assignment positions within a classification may be established where duties and responsibilities are of a specialized nature by comparison to other positions in the class or the duties and responsibilities in the class specification. Selection of employees to said positions and removal from those positions shall be made by the City Manager or designee upon recommendation of the Department Director. An employee so assigned shall receive additional pay equal to five percent (5%) of the employee’s present salary.
