SLEEPER OPERATION. Two (2) men shall be a Sleeper Team, and no more than two (2) men shall be allowed in a Sleeper unit unless by an act of God, or where new or strange equipment is put into operation, and then only on a trip of less than three hundred (300) miles. 1. Sleeper teams shall not be placed on layover pay when the trip is less than five hundred (500) miles outbound from home terminal or last layover point, but shall go on Wait Time or Work Time whichever is applicable. 2. Where a Sleeper Cab operation is in effect, and only the driver on duty is required to load or unload, either enroute from one terminal to another, or at any terminal point, only the driver on duty shall be paid for his work time. However, should the second driver remain with the truck unit, and after one (1) hour work time has elapsed, he shall be paid wait time for the balance of the work time involved. 3. On Sleeper Teams, only the mileage rate shall be split. All other rates shall be paid where they apply.
