Skills Evaluation Clause Samples
A Skills Evaluation clause establishes the process and criteria for assessing an individual's or contractor's abilities relevant to a specific role or project. Typically, this clause outlines the methods of evaluation, such as tests, interviews, or practical demonstrations, and may specify who conducts the assessment and the standards for passing. Its core function is to ensure that only qualified individuals are engaged, thereby reducing the risk of inadequate performance and promoting project success.
Skills Evaluation. A skills evaluation will be scheduled with Human Resources within one week of an employee being displaced. The Employer will evaluate all current and known upcoming vacancies in other departments for which they are qualified (See Article
Skills Evaluation. If the affected employee is still without a regularly scheduled position or has a permanently reduced regularly scheduled position, a skills evaluation will be scheduled with Human Resources. The managers and Human Resources will evaluate all current and known upcoming vacancies in other departments. The employee’s current skills and training needs will be assessed. The employee will be given preference for any positions for which he/she qualifies as determined by the Employer.
Skills Evaluation a. Each employees’ performance will be graded by the Distribution Manager based on their performance and ability to perform certain tasks and weighting those aspects in accordance with their required performance. Any pay increases corresponding to any movement between or within grades will operate from the first full pay period on or after the appointment by the Distribution Manager in writing.
b. New employees starting after commencement of the Agreement will be graded by the Distribution Manager. New employees will commence on a probationary period for the first three months of employment with the Company.
c. The Assistant Warehouse Manager, plus the Leading Hand responsible for the employee, will be responsible for reviewing and discussing the performance of employees, and making an assessment of their skill levels. The Distribution Manager will review the assessments and approve or otherwise any recommendations made.
d. The specific competency standards which have been agreed with the Consultative Committee will be used to assess performance for promotion.
e. Assessment will take place on a twelve (12) monthly basis for all employees except in the following situations:
i. Grade 1 employees will be assess on a six (6) monthly basis.
ii. Employees whose performance is not satisfactory will be advised by their Team Leader and Distribution Manager two months before their next review. If the Assistant Warehouse Manager and Distribution Manager assesses that an Employee is not performing satisfactorily, then the employee in question will be subject to the appropriate counselling procedure.
Skills Evaluation. Dining Services employees will be allowed to have their skills assessed for any position above the one they currently hold. This evaluation will be completed by management and shared with the employee so the employee can determine what training they may need. This evaluation can be requested annually at the time of the Performance Evaluation but will not be used for any purpose other than for the employee and management to discuss skills and skill development for the future.
