SITE PREPARATION AND EQUIPMENT PROCUREMENT. The goal of this task is to procure the necessary equipment and materials for this project and prepare the site for equipment installation. The Recipient shall: • Develop detailed equipment specifications based on the engineering requirements and specifications for facility operations. The equipment to be procured includes: o Hydronic boilers; o Steam generators; o Hot water and steam piping; and o Associated piping, wiring, instrumentation and controls. • Develop any required bid documents for installation of the hydronic boilers and hot water utility throughout the plant. • Secure bids for installation of the systems. • Establish purchase orders for the equipment, and arrange for shipment and receipt inspection of the equipment at the facilities. • Secure all permits necessary to conduct site preparation and equipment installation. • Identify the preliminary plans for equipment delivery • Provide a Site Preparation and Equipment Procurement Memo that shall include, but not be limited to: • Summary of the steps to prepare the site(s); • Copy of the performance specifications for each equipment purchased by the grant. • Summary of the bids received and from whom; • Copies of all required permits needed for installation at each site; • Copies of the final procurement documents and purchase orders; and • Status of the planned installation including preliminary schedule for equipment delivery and installation for each site. Equipment removal may occur in tandem with equipment installation to reduce facility downtime. • Develop any required bid documents for installation of the hydronic boilers Recover and hot water utility throughout the plantreclaim existing high-GWP refrigerant. • Secure bids for installation of Specify equipment and performance specifications, select vendors, and issue purchase orders to the systemsselected vendors. • Establish purchase orders Arrange for the equipmentshipment, receipt, and arrange for shipment and receipt inspection of the equipment at the facilitiesfacility. • Secure all any building permits necessary determined to conduct site preparation and be required for equipment installation. • Identify Procure the preliminary plans equipment for equipment delivery the energy efficiency upgrades such as: o Steam and hot water system components: steam traps, system insulation, boiler appurtenances, boiler stack economizer; and o Refrigeration system components: refrigeration compressors/condensers, refrigeration pumps, refrigeration fan VFD’s, insulation, refrigeration system energy controls; and o Baking oven system components: oven burners and burner management controls; and o Miscellaneous components such as controls hardware, piping, valves, fittings, fasteners, insulation, conduit, and wiring. • Provide a Site Preparation and Equipment Procurement Memo that shall include, but not be limited to: • o Summary of the steps to prepare the site(s); • site, including existing refrigerant reclamation o Copy of the performance specifications for each equipment purchased by the grant. • o Summary of the bids received and from whom; • o Copies of all required permits needed for installation at each siteinstallation; • o Copies of the final procurement documents and purchase orders; and • o Status of the planned installation including preliminary schedule for equipment delivery and installation for each siteinstallation. The Recipient shall: • Develop Design and develop a detailed equipment specifications based installation plan with the intent to minimize the impact on production schedule and consider production demand with timing of all tasks that will require accommodations from normal production operations. • Prepare all required mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering documents and submit along with building permit application to the engineering local building department. • Respond to all plan check requirements and specifications for facility operations. The equipment resubmit after any required changes have been completed in order to be procured includes: o Hydronic boilers; o Steam generators; o Hot water and steam piping; and o Associated piping, wiring, instrumentation and controlsobtain authority to construct permits. • Develop any required bid documents for installation of the hydronic boilers and hot water utility throughout the plant. • Secure Solicit bids for installation of the systemscontractors after finalized engineering plans have been created. • Establish purchase orders Procure the equipment including transcritical CO2 rack system, adiabatic condenser, heat exchanger, circulating pump system, spiral blast freezer, replacement evaporator for the equipmentexisting spiral blast freezer, and arrange for shipment installation materials including pipe, valves, electrical components, electrical controls, and receipt inspection of the equipment at the facilitiespipe insulation materials. • Secure all permits necessary to conduct site preparation and equipment installationEquipment will be procured in two separate phases. • Identify the preliminary plans for equipment delivery • Provide a Site Preparation and Equipment Procurement Memo that shall include, but not be limited to: • o Summary of the steps to prepare the site(s); • site o Copy of the performance specifications for each equipment purchased by the grant. • ; o Summary of the bids received and from whom; • o Copies of all required permits needed for installation at each site; • o Copies of the final procurement documents and purchase orders; and • o Status of the planned installation including preliminary schedule for equipment delivery and installation for each site.
