Shiftwork provisions. 25.6.1 The Company and a majority of employees concerned may agree on a cycle of working hours where an average of 38 ordinary hours are worked over a cycle in excess of 28 consecutive days, but no greater than twelve months.
25.6.2 An eight hour shift shall be inclusive of meal time.

25.6.4 Meal and tea breaks - shiftwork
25.6.4.1 Shift workers must be allowed a meal break of at least twenty minutes to be counted as time worked.
25.6.4.2 The meal break must be taken within six hours of the commencement of an ordinary shift. If the employee works more than six hours without a meal break, the employee will be paid at overtime rates until the meal break commences.
25.6.4.3 Shift workers must also receive one tea break, counted as time worked, of up to fifteen minutes.
Shiftwork provisions. It is a condition of employment that Employees shall undertake shift work as and when required in line with the operational needs of the Employer. For the purpose of this clause “afternoon shift" shall mean any shift finishing after 6.00 p.m. and at or before midnight or where the majority of hours fall between those hours. Employees shall be entitled to receive a shift allowance of 15% of their ordinary hourly rate of pay for any afternoon shift which is in operation for not less than 5 days. Shift allowance shall not apply to shiftwork performed on Saturdays and/or Sundays where weekend penalty rates apply. Where an Employee is required to work afternoon shift for less than 5 consecutive shifts, the shift allowance shall not apply. The maximum ordinary hours worked on any shift shall not exceed ten (10) hours.

Shiftwork provisions. (a) Shiftwork means any shift which finishes after 6.00pm, after midnight or commences before 6.00am Monday to Friday.
(b) For shiftwork completed on a weekend or a public holiday, the definitions and penalties that will apply for shiftworkers are set out in clause 10.2(a) within this Agreement.

(d) Shifts are to be worked in one continuous block of hours that may include meal breaks and sleepovers, except where broken shifts apply in accordance with this Agreement.
