Common use of Shift Preference Clause in Contracts

Shift Preference. A nurse who accepts recall, or has been displaced, to a position on a shift other than the shift from which the nurse was laid off or displaced, shall retain preference over all other applicants to return to open positions on the nurse’s original shift, until return to that shift. This preference, for which the Medical Center shall have no notification obligation, shall continue for a period of one year from the date of displacement or recall.

Shift Preference. A nurse who accepts recall, or has been 10 displaced, to a position on a shift other than the shift from which the nurse was 11 laid off or displaced, shall retain preference over all other applicants to return to 12 open positions on the nurse’s original shift, until return to that shift. This 13 preference, for which the Medical Center shall have no notification obligation, 14 shall continue for a period of one year from the date of displacement or recall.

A nurse who accepts recall, or has been displaced, to a position on a shift and/or unit other than the shift from which the nurse was laid off or displaced, shall retain preference over all other applicants to return to open positions on the nurse’s original shiftshift and/or unit, until return to that shiftshift and/or unit. This preference, for which the Medical Center shall have no notification obligation, shall continue for a period of one year from the date of displacement or recall.

This preference, for which the Medical Center shall have no 1 notification obligation, shall continue for a period of one year from the date of 2 displacement or recall.

A nurse who accepts recall, or has been displaced, to a position 14 on a shift and/or unit other than the shift from which the nurse was laid off or 15 displaced, shall retain preference over all other applicants to return to open 16 positions on the nurse’s original shiftshift and/or unit, until return to that shift. This preference, for which the Medical Center shall have no notification obligation, shall continue for a period of one year from the date of displacement or recallshift and/or unit.

A nurse who accepts recall, or has been displaced, to a position on a 28 shift and/or unit other than the shift from which the nurse was laid off or displaced, shall 29 retain preference over all other applicants to return to open positions on the nurse’s 30 original shiftshift and/or unit, until return to that shiftshift and/or unit. This preference, for which 31 the Medical Center shall have no notification obligation, shall continue for a period of 32 one year from the date of displacement or recall.

Shift Preference. A nurse who accepts recall, or has been displaced, 16 to a position on a shift and/or unit other than the shift from which the 17 nurse was laid off or displaced, shall retain preference over all other 18 applicants to return to open positions on the nurse’s original shiftshift 19 and/or unit, until return to that shiftshift and/or unit. This preference, for 20 which the Medical Center shall have no notification obligation, shall 21 continue for a period of one year from the date of displacement or 22 recall.

Shift Preference.
