SERVICEMEMBER Clause Samples
The SERVICEMEMBER clause provides specific rights or protections to individuals who are serving in the military. Typically, this clause outlines how contractual obligations may be modified, suspended, or terminated if a party is called to active duty or is otherwise impacted by military service. For example, it may allow a servicemember to terminate a lease or delay certain payments without penalty during their period of service. The core function of this clause is to ensure that servicemembers are not unfairly disadvantaged in contractual relationships due to their military commitments, addressing the unique challenges they may face while serving.
