Extraordinary Leave Clause Samples

Extraordinary Leave. A leave of absence for extraordinary circumstances without pay or fringe benefits may be granted in the sole discretion of the District to any employee. Duration of the leave shall be for one (1) year unless otherwise provided. Requests for such leaves must be submitted in writing to the Superintendent or designee for approval at least one (1) month prior to the effective date of the requested leave. If an extension of such leave is desired, a written request containing the rationale for such request must be presented to the Superintendent or designee for consideration three (3) months prior to the expiration of such leave. Denial of such leave requests and extension requests shall not be subject to the grievance procedure beyond Step III. See Section (K) of this Article concerning return from an extraordinary leave.
Extraordinary Leave. Except for those express, paid or unpaid leaves provided for elsewhere in this Agreement by specific provision, any and all leaves of absence may only be afforded under extraordinary circumstances and in the sole discretion of the University, as formally approved by the President or Executive or Senior Vice Presidents of the University. Terms of any such leave shall be entirely set out by the University.
Extraordinary Leave. (a) An employee shall be credited a one-time entitlement of thirty-seven decimal five (37.5) consecutive hours of vacation leave with pay on the first (1st) day of the month following the employee’s second (2nd) anniversary of service, as defined in clause 28.02. (b) The vacation leave credits provided in paragraph a) above shall be excluded from the application of clause 28.09, dealing with the Carry-Over of Vacation Leave.
Extraordinary Leave. In partial modification of Clause 13.34 of Settlement dated 19th October 1966, (in case of State Bank of India, Clause 7.34 of Agreement dated 31st March 1967) in exceptional circumstances, Extraordinary Leave may be sanctioned (without wages) not exceeding 3 months on any one occasion and upto a maximum of 24 months during the entire period of an employees’ service.
Extraordinary Leave. A. The College President or his/her designee may grant a leave of absence with or without pay not to exceed ten (10) working days upon the request of a Bargaining Unit Member. B. Upon the request of a Bargaining Unit Member, the College President or his/her designee may recommend a leave of absence with or without pay, not to exceed one (1) year, for approval by the Board. The terms and conditions of such leave shall be stated in writing.
Extraordinary Leave. All employees are entitled to additional days of leave in respect of immediate family births, death, weddings, civic duties and public holidays as detailed in the Company’s collective labor agreement.
Extraordinary Leave. Extraordinary Leave: All unit members shall be provided with up to four (4) hours of paid leave per year to undertake screening for breast or prostate cancer. Such leave shall not be charged against any other leave provisions. Requests for Extraordinary Leave shall be completed in writing on an appropriate form. Upon completion of the visit, proof shall be submitted to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources.
Extraordinary Leave. Presidential, Secretarial, or Other Official Release from Work: Occasionally, federal employees are granted administrative leave for various reasons, including, but not limited to early release prior to holidays, an unanticipated day off, a day of mourning for a Presidential funeral, federal employee culture building promoting activities, all hands meetings (except those intended to promote general health and safety applicable to all building occupants, such as building evacuations, lessons learned and similar safety related topics). When such administrative leave is granted to federal employees, the Contractor may also grant its employees administrative time off (workload permitting) only on a non-cost- reimbursable basis. Therefore, ▇▇▇ will not reimburse the Contractor for any Contractor employee hours not work ed when federal employees are granted administrative leave, for any reason.
Extraordinary Leave. ‌ In extraordinary circumstances and normally after exhausting available leave types in this Agreement the University may grant a staff member such paid leave (other than that allowed in any other clause of this Agreement) as the relevant Member of the Senior Executive decides is warranted.
Extraordinary Leave. (1) There may be exceptional circumstances in which normal form of leave are not applicable, or if the employee has exhausted normal leave options, it is reasonable to consider other leave options. (2) This form of leave is discretionary and will be considered on a case by case basis. Approval of this leave will be at the discretion of the CEO who will also determine whether this leave will be granted with or without pay. (3) Leave will not be granted under this provision if another form of leave is more appropriate. (4) Employees must outline to the CEO the circumstances and reasons for the request, supported by evidence and the duration of the leave being sought. (5) The CEO will consider: (a) The interests of the City and of the Employees and (b) Whether there are other forms of leave more applicable. (6) The CEO will decide based on the information provided: (a) Whether the leave is paid or unpaid; (b) If it will count a service for other purposes (i.e. LSL accrual); and (c) The duration of the leave.
