SENIORITY DEFINITION AND ACCRUAL. ‌ For the purposes of this Agreement, seniority is defined as an employee’s continuous length of service with the facility from his/her most recent date of hire. This will be computed from the nearest starting payroll date, for each individual employee. The seniority date will be used for seniority purposes under this Agreement, including payroll, benefits and other specified areas. Seniority shall accrue and not be lost during an employee’s vacation. An employee shall not accrue seniority while on layoff or on an unpaid leave of absence which exceeds 12 weeks.
