Seismic Requirements Sample Clauses
The Seismic Requirements clause establishes the standards and obligations related to earthquake-resistant design and construction for a project. It typically specifies the applicable building codes, engineering practices, and materials that must be used to ensure the structure can withstand seismic activity. For example, it may require compliance with local seismic regulations or mandate specific structural reinforcements. The core function of this clause is to ensure the safety and integrity of the building in the event of an earthquake, thereby reducing risk to occupants and property.
Seismic Requirements. The foundations and support structures for high voltage equipment shall be designed to operate under the seismic conditions indicated in Chapter 1, Annex 1 of PR-20.
Seismic Requirements. In terms of seismic requirements, the equipment shall comply with IEEE 693-2018 standards, as substituted, with regard to seismic qualifications and other matters. Civil works shall comply with the requirements established in the National Building Code.
Seismic Requirements. A. All equipment furnished under the electrical contract shall be installed in a manner to be fully compliant with the seismic restraint requirements of the North Carolina State Building Code (NCSBC). The Contractor shall provide any and all seismic restraint details and calculations that may be required by the NCSBC and/or the Authority Having Jurisdiction.
B. Requirements for restraints are detailed in the NCSBC. All tables and references shall conform to building’s location. Restraints shall be per Seismic Performance Category stated on sheet G-002.
C. The Contractor shall retain the services of a Professional Engineer registered in the State of North Carolina to design seismic restraint elements required for this project. The Engineer’s calculations, bearing his professional seal, shall accompany shop drawings and shall demonstrate Code compliance including certification that the seismic system components comply with the testing requirements of NCSBC Section 1708.
Seismic Requirements. A. Anchor and brace equipment in accordance with Section 01031.
Seismic Requirements. In building the Project, Developer shall be responsible for compliance with the seismic requirements for the TJPA’s proposed extension of the Train Box of the Transit Center along the north side of the Project as set forth in Attachment 3 to the RFP.
Seismic Requirements. 1. Provide seismic design and restraints for all core and shell Life Safety Systems as required by the New York City Building Code and as listed below:
a. Standpipe system.
b. Sprinkler system including all components of dry-pipe systems. This will include air compressors, pull stations, detectors, strobes, bells, wiring and conduits and panels.
c. Fire protection water services and water services, which supply standpipe or sprinkler systems.
d. All fire pumps and controllers.
e. All roof tanks utilized for fire protection including combination domestic/fire reserve tanks.
f. House pumps and constant pressure pumps including tank, fill piping and accessories utilized to fill fire reserve tanks.
g. Natural gas systems.
h. Any and all services which occur over the path of egress.
i. Electric core & shell.
