Section Five. In lieu of layoff, an employee with more than two (2) years of continuous State service may bump into a lower class within the same classification series or a class declared comparable within the agency in which the layoff occurs, and shall bump the employee with the lowest bargaining unit seniority in such lower class subject to the provision of Section Two. The bumper shall be paid for service in such lower class as provided in Regulation 5-239-2(f).
