Common use of Section 9.8.3 Clause in Contracts

Section 9.8.3. 23 The employee will retain accrued illness and injury leave, vested vacation rights, and seniority 24 rights while on authorized leave of absence. However, vacation credits, illness and injury 25 leave, salary schedule placement and seniority shall not accrue while the employee is on unpaid 26 leave of absence.

Section 9.8.3. 23 6 The employee will retain accrued illness and injury sick leave, vested vacation rights, and seniority 24 rights while 7 on authorized leave of absence. However, vacation credits, illness and injury 25 sick leave, salary schedule placement and seniority shall not accrue while 8 the employee is on unpaid 26 leave of absence; provided, however, that if such leave is approved for 9 extended illness or injury, seniority shall not accrue.
