Common use of Section 9.6. Maternity Leave Clause in Contracts

Section 9.6. Maternity Leave. 30 Upon application therefore, the District shall grant maternity leave. Such leave shall commence at such 31 time as the employee and her physician deem necessary. Employees granted maternity leave must 32 return to work not later than one (1) year following the granting of the maternity leave. Employees 33 granted maternity leave may, at their option, be allowed compensation for maternity leave in 34 accordance with Section 9.1. Before returning to work the employee must be certified by her physician 35 as ready and able to return.
