Scope of School Entitys Involvement. 1. General principles: Once the Law Enforcement Authority assume primary responsibility for a matter, the legal conduct of interviews, interrogations, searches, seizures of property, and arrests are within the purview of the Law Enforcement Authority. The School Entity shall defer to the Law Enforcement Authority on matters of criminal and juvenile law procedure, except as is necessary to protect the interests of the School Entity. The Law Enforcement Authority will keep the chief school administrator, or his designees, informed of the status of pending investigations.
