Schematic Design. The beginning of the design process, sometimes commonly known as Preliminary Design. Schematic Design Documents are the schematic design plans and elevations showing the scale and relationship of Project or its Compo­nents. Schematic Design documents consist of written and graphic (drawings, sketches, etc.) presentations that will enable the Owner (through the advice of the Program Manager) to determine if the intent of the project, as set forth in the Program provided by the Owner, is being addressed, and shall consist of at least the following: (a) Schematic Site Plan; (b) Floor Plans; and (c) Elevations.
