Same Gender Spouse Sample Clauses

The Same Gender Spouse clause defines how a contract or policy treats spouses in same-gender marriages. It clarifies that all rights, benefits, and obligations extended to spouses under the agreement apply equally to same-gender spouses as they do to opposite-gender spouses. For example, this may affect eligibility for health benefits, survivor rights, or family leave. The core function of this clause is to ensure equal treatment and prevent discrimination based on the gender of a spouse, thereby promoting fairness and legal compliance.
