Bargaining Unit 16 employees working for the Department of Developmental Services who meet the criteria for Safety Retirement as established by the amended Government Code 18717, 19816.20, and 20405.1 will be given the option to either remain in their current retirement status or move to safety retirement when their eligibility is established by the Department of Personnel Administration.
