SAFETY/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. 14.01 The Employer shall provide working conditions at all times which are not prejudicial to the health or efficiency of the workers. 14.02 The Employer agrees to cooperate with the Union when safety and related courses are made available to the members employed with the Employer.
SAFETY/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. Company will provide a Safety Clothing Allowance of $300 per year to meet the requirements under the Company’s Personal Protective Equipment Policy.
SAFETY/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. 14.01 The Employer shall provide working conditions at all times in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and OHSA regulations. 14.02 The Employer agrees to cooperate with the Union when safety and related courses are made available to employees. 14.03 The Employer will provide for use on the project sites: fall protection equipment, work gloves, hearing protection, eye protection and other specialized safety equipment if and when required. 14.04 The Employer and the Union agree that they mutually desire to maintain high standards of safety and health in the workplace in order to prevent injury or illness. All employees are required to read and abide by the Employer's safety policy. The Occupational Health and Safety Committee will be established in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and OHSA regulations. 14.05 Each employee must have and wear safety footwear. The Employer will determine whether boots or shoes fill this requirement. The Employer agrees to reimburse each employee up to one hundred and twenty-five dollars ($125.00), inclusive of taxes, per 12-month period for the purchase of safety footwear. The employee is to be reimbursed upon presentation of receipt or will receive a voucher from the Employer to be used at a specific footwear supplier.
SAFETY/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. The City may require employees in specific job classifications or work assignments to wear steel-toed safety shoes (or other safety boots or shoes as provided by the department). The department will pay an allowance of three hundred ($300) dollars on the first paycheck of each contract year to be used for the purchase of required footwear and other appropriate work clothing. Employees shall be eligible for such allowance upon employment or to replace or repair worn out shoes as needed. The allowance hereunder shall be made equally for safety shoes providing acceptable toe protection with materials that may replace steel, which is now being used for this purpose.
SAFETY/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE a) Safety glasses, ear protection, rain suits, traffic vest and hard hats are provided by the Employer, if they are worn out by normal use they will be replaced by the Employer, when turned in. b) The Employer will provide each full time employee who has completed 12 months of continuous service with a maximum annual allowance of $200 per calendar year to be used for the purchase of work clothes and/or CSA approved safety boots. The safety clothing allowance will increase to $215 in the second year of the contract, and to $225 in the third year. c) The employee must provide a receipt satisfactory to management before receiving this allowance. Payment of the receipt, or the maximum allowance, whichever is less, will be processed and included on the individual’s weekly direct deposit pay. CSA approved safety boots are the responsibility of the worker. d) Hard hats, safety boots and traffic vest must be worn by all employees at all times on the job site.
SAFETY/CLOTHING ALLOWANCE. 32.01 All permanent Employees shall receive a safety/clothing allowance of one hundred and seventy-five dollars ($175.00) on December 15th of each year. 32.02 The Town agrees to continue to provide two (2) uniforms per year for the By-Law Enforcement Officer. If other clothing is necessary, it will be at the discretion of the Manager.
